The Helmut Newton SUMO, a titanic book that towered above anything previously attempted, celebrates its 20-year legacy in a special XL edition. June Newton, also known as Alice Springs, was an accomplished photographer in her own right, with her work featured in Vanity Fair, Interview, Elle, and Vogue. Married to Helmut Newton, she revised the original SUMO project to create a spectacular tribute to her husband's legacy.

The SUMO, weighing in at 35.4 kg (just under 80 pounds), was published in an edition of 10,000 signed and numbered copies. It quickly sold out and became a highly sought-after collector's item. The legendary first copy, signed by over 100 of the book's featured celebrities, even set a record for the most expensive book sold in the 20th century. Now, the XL edition celebrates 20 years of this iconic project, offering a new format to honor the legacy of Helmut Newton.
